Hotel Bookings

The International Scientific Programming Committee, responsible for the organisation of the EARLI conference together with the Local Organising Committee of the Exeter University, recommends the university campus accommodation due to its proximity to the conference, comfortable standard of accommodation and reasonable prices. These rooms can be booked through the online reservation module listed below. The Jigsaw website that enables you to book these rooms also provides more information about rates, location, ... . All accommodation at the university is on a bed and breakfast basis. The following categories of rooms are located on Streatham campus, where the JURE and EARLI conference take place:

JIGSAW Conferences is the official housing agent for the EARLI Biennial Conference in Exeter. In consultation with the organisation, they have made a selection of hotels in and around Exeter for you. As a customer you stand to benefit from their intensive contact with many hotels and they offer you the best available rates.

Demand for hotel rooms in Exeter will be high during the EARLI conference in August. Our advice is to make your reservation far in advance to be sure of having the best possible choice from among the various hotels.

Use the JIGSAW Conferences online reservation system. This allows you to search for hotels by star rating and area, view a map showing the location in relation to the conference venue, and find detailed information about each hotel. Some of these hotels are not in Exeter and the online reservation system gives an indication of the distance – but do check that you understand where your hotel is before you book

The list of hotels shows the star rating of the rooms, the proximity to the conference venue, the standard rate (when applicable) and the discounted rate. The Hope Halls of Residence, Mardon Halls of Residence, Lopes Halls of Residence, Birks Grange Halls of Residence and Holland Halls of Residence are rooms located on Streatham campus, where the JURE and EARLI conference takes place.

Discounted room rates at the official hotels are limited so don't delay with booking your hotel as the demand for rooms in Exeter will be high during the EARLI Conference.

Any amendments or cancellations must be received in writing and within the cancellation policy, which will be clearly stated on each booking confirmation by JIGSAW to avoid the cancellation charges.
